You Only Live Twice

Gameplay

You Only Live Twice is related to “Last Man Standing” except that you have two lives in the course of a round. Once you lose your second life you will be forced into observer mode and cannot respawn until there is only one player left or the round time ends. The winner of the round will be declared on the round report and may not be the player with the most kills.

<font color=red>*NOTE*</font» The round will be “locked” once a person is eliminated. At that time, a progress bar will show up at the top center of the HUD showing the number of remaining players and no other players may join in until the round is over.

The Scoreboard

The scoreboard is useful to tell how many players are left in the round. When a player is out they will constantly show a skull icon to the left of their name.

Timelimit

Even though this gameplay is based on last man standing rules, it is still important that the round be timed. The server defined round time will still be in effect. If the round ends by the round timer, then the winner will be whomever has the highest score. Otherwise, if the round is ended prematurely by a last man standing condition then that player is declared the winner.

Radar

When playing YOLT without teams, the radar will be forced visible when there are only two players left in the round. The two players will be always visible on the radar regardless of range to prevent camp-hiding and stalling gameplay.

Scoring

Every kill you make earns you a point to your score. A suicide counts as a negative point and killing a teammate counts as a negative point. Winning the round does not give you points. If teamplay is enabled, the team only scores points if they win the round. Team points are not accrued by killing other players.

Teamplay

When teamplay is enabled, Janus and MI6 will be pitted against each other with the standard YOLT rules. This gameplay rewards teams that work together, share weapon and ammo spawns, and the use of tactical cover. Each player still gets 2 lives, and the team with the last man standing is the winner.
